SixTONES (2019)

Six Tones (ストーンズ) is Johnny’s Jr unit. This unit was introduced for the first time on May 1, 2015 during Team C’s performance in Johnny’s Ginza 2015.

Trivia

Before, this unit has unofficial several names called Bakaleya Six, Bakaleya Gumi, Bakada Six, Bakada Gumi. These names taken from their drama, Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou which aired in 2012.
The initial name of this unit was “six tones” and read as 「シックストーンズ」 (six tones) but changed immediately to 「ストーンズ」(stones).
Each member has a member color. Those are Jesse (red), Kochi Yugo (yellow) Kyomoto Taiga (pink), Matsumura Hokuto (black), Morimoto Shintaro (green) and Tanaka Juri (blue).
All members have height more than 170 cm and 176 cm in average. Exceed the height of Johnny’s WEST members. It makes them as a “tallest group in Johnny’s.”
On October 2018, this unit is chosen as “YouTube Artist Promo” Campaign and become the first Japanese artist who participate. The banners displayed from October 29, 2018 in Shinagawa Station with tagline “The New Generation of Digitally Unleashed Johnny’s.” Then followed on November 4 and 5, 2018 at Harajuku Station, Akasaka Station, Roppongi Station, Omotesando Station, Ebisu Station, Ichigaya Station, and Toranomon Station. Big poster with size 4 m x 13 m also displayed.
On November 5, 2018, SixTONES released an official MV of “JAPONICA STYLE” in Johnny’s Jr Channel. It was produced by Takizawa Hideaki. This video got 1 million views just in 2 days.
